My Spy: The Eternal City’s Rotten Tomatoes Score Breaks Dave Bautista’s Incredible Streak
A sequel to 2020’s My Spy, the new spy comedy My Spy: The Eternal City follows Dave Bautista’s CIA operative, JJ, and his precocious 14-year-old stepdaughter, Sophie (Chloe Coleman), as they head to Italy on a high school trip and become entangled in a terrorist plot targeting the Vatican. In addition to Bautista and Coleman, Kristen Schaal and Ken Jeong reprise their roles from the first film, with Flula Borg, Craig Robinson, and Anna Faris joining the cast.
Shortly after its release on Prime Video, My Spy: The Eternal City has received a Rotten Tomatoes score of 15%, breaking Bautista’s streak of Fresh ratings that spanned 10 movies, starting with the original My Spy (48%) from 2020. With just under 30 reviews at the time of writing, the sequel’s score may fluctuate slightly. For context, the original film garnered almost 130 reviews from Rotten Tomatoes-approved critics. However, it appears that the sequel’s score will remain rotten, ending Bautista’s impressive streak.
