attempted MURDER

Police have confirmed a man, wanted in connection with an attempted murder investigation in North Hampshire, has appeared in court.

British MMA Fighter Glen Johnson, who’s also known as Glen Bailey, appeared before Winchester Crown Court on the 3rd September 2019.

The 42-year-old, who was deported from Thailand on 28th August 2019, has been charged with failing to appear at a hearing back in March.

A 17-year-old man – and a 52-year-old woman – are due to stand trial in October, in connection with the incident in Blackwater, near Camberley, in February last year.

Johnson was deported back to the UK,  after being arrested on a warrant in Pattaya on August 20 by Thai Police.

Johnson had earlier been reported for summons for assisting an offender in connection with the shooting on February 10, 2018, in Blackwater.

The 19-year-old victim was left paralyzed from the waist down.

A 17-year-old man from Blackwater has been charged with attempted murder and is due to stand trial at Winchester Crown Court on October 2.

A 51-year-old woman was also summonsed to court for assisting an offender and will appear at Winchester on October 2.
