Lights in the central bypass tunnel being repaired

One street lane within the underpass has been closed as work has begun to repair and replace the lights in the Central Road bypass tunnel by Pattaya City.

To replace and repair the outdated lights that have been in use since 2017, the light installation started on Wednesday, July 12.The authorities intend to swap out the outdated light bulbs with around 550 LED bulbs.On the incoming side of the Sattahip tunnel, work will begin between July 12 and July 15, and it will be divided into two shifts, commencing at 9 AM and ending at 6 PM and 12 AM, respectively. Beginning at nine in the morning, one traffic lane next to the tunnel wall will be blocked off.

To avoid accidents, rubber cones and warning markers will be placed.According to the officials, the city may add CCTV cameras in the future at the locations where motorbike riders frequently enter the tunnel. This will stop motorcycle riders from utilizing the underpass illegally.
