Iraqi Airlines expects receiving the first of its ten Boeing 787 Dreamliners.
Iraqi Airlines has declared that it is looking forward to the arrival of its 10 brand-new Boeing 787 Dreamliners, the first of which is expected to arrive soon.
On March 16, 2023, Iraqi Airlines announced via social media that Boeing had finished assembling its first Dreamliner. A picture of the brand-new 787 wearing the airline’s livery was attached to the message.
The Boeing 787, registered as YI-ATC, was put together in the company’s Charleston, South Carolina, facility. According to the airline, the following step is for the two companies to set the date for the delivery flight. When that might occur has not been specified by the airline.
On social media, pictures of the plane wearing the livery of Iraqi Airways were also posted.
The airline has ordered 10 Dreamliners in all, nine of the smaller 787- 8 models and one of the larger 787 -9 models. According to data from CH-Aviation, General Electric GEnx-1B engines will power all 10 aircraft.
Baghdad International Airport (BGW), in Baghdad, Iraq, is the home base for Iraqi Airlines. There are now 36 aircraft in the airline’s fleet, 19 of which are parked. 26 aircraft have also been ordered by it. According to CH-Aviation, in addition to the ten Boeing 787s, the airline is also expecting the delivery of one Airbus A220 and fifteen Boeing 737 MAXs.
