Indian tourist get into brawl in Pattaya

Today, June 14, at half past midnight, at the intersection of Soi 16 and Walking Street, a group of individuals who appeared to be bar employees got violently involved with two Indian visitors for an unspecified cause.

According to unnamed eyewitnesses who spoke to the media, the event took place in South Pattaya, Nongprue Subdistrict, Banglamung District, Chonburi Province, in front of a nightclub near the entrance of Walking Street from Soi 16. Two foreign visitors fighting with a group of bartenders from an unnamed business in the middle of the street in front of multiple Indian-themed bars were described by witnesses as looking like Indians. Then, for no apparent reason, the two sides abruptly began trading punches and blows.

TPN Media points out that it is challenging to determine from the video which party hit first. However, the video has not been shown here since it can frighten visitors who are easily offended. The incident was captured on film by some tourists, who later shared it on social media where it quickly went viral this morning.

The tourists were outnumbered by the bar staff, who one of them reportedly attempted to hit with a rock. The Indian tourists were able to escape thanks to good Samaritans who were able to separate the two parties.

None of the participants in the fight had formally reported the incident to the police as of the time of publication. However, given that the occurrence posed serious hazards to others, locals and witnesses are fervently pleading with the authorities to act quickly.

According to reports, Pattaya Police are aware of the occurrence and will speak with the local management and owners of entertainment venues.
