After a snow plow accident, Jeremy Renner is in “Critical But Stable Condition.”
After a Sunday mishap, Jeremy Renner is currently in the hospital.
A spokeswoman for the Hawkeye actor told The Hollywood Reporter, “We can confirm Jeremy is in critical but stable condition with injuries sustained after encountering a weather-related mishap while plowing snow earlier today.” He is being well cared for and has his family by his side.
According to public information officer Kristin Vietti, the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office near Reno, Nevada, received a call on Sunday morning to Renner’s home in the vicinity of Mt. Rose Highway.
“Upon arrival, deputies worked with Truckee Meadows Fire Protection District and REMSA Health to arrange for Mr. Jeremy Renner’s medical transport by care flight to a nearby hospital,” the spokesperson added. “The only party interested was Mr. Renner.” The sheriff’s office’s serious accident investigation team is presently examining the incident’s circumstances.
Renner previously played Clint Barton/Hawkeye in a number of Marvel films and a Disney+ television series. He presently plays Mike McLusky in Paramount+’s Mayor of Kingstown.
Renner has become one of the more sought-after performers in Hollywood since since The Hurt Locker, directed by Kathryn Bigelow, received an Oscar nomination in 2010. After Hurt Locker, he co-starred in the 2010 criminal drama The Town, which was directed by Ben Affleck and garnered him a second consecutive Oscar nomination. After appearing in Thor the following year as a cameo Hawkeye, he went on to star in several more Avengers movies, including Avengers: Endgame (2019), the second-highest grossing movie of all time. With Hawkeye making his debut last year, he has kept working with Marvel.
He has dabbled outside of the Marvel universe, appearing alongside Tom Cruise in Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol (2011) and the 2015 follow-up, Rogue Nation, and starring in The Bourne Legacy (2012), which billed him as a potential replacement for Matt Damon, who had previously played the spy Jason Bourne in three films.
His Taylor Sheridan television series Mayor of Kingstown centers on the McLusky family, who hold sway in the little, made-up town of Kingstown, Michigan, where the only major industry is incarceration. A second season of Mayor of Kingstown was picked up in February 2022, with new episodes premiering on Paramount+ on January 15.
