A car accident caused by a couple arguing resulted in the death of both parents and injuries to their two children, police said.
The white sedan crashed into a power pole on Suk Prayun Road in Phan Thong district, Chonburi province, on Sunday night.
The husband, Siraphop, and wife, Natchareeya, both aged 41, were killed. Emergency responders reported that the two children in the backseat were injured.
A nearby parked pickup truck sustained rear-end damage, believed to have been caused by the sedan.
The two children told rescuers that their parents had been arguing loudly before the crash. Their father was driving when their mother suddenly grabbed and pulled on the handbrake, causing the car to spin out of control. The sedan hit the parked pickup and then a power pole beside the road.
The full names of the deceased were not released to protect the children. The police investigation is ongoing.
