Big Push for electric cars in Pattaya

The PEA of Thailand recently announced that they will be introducing electric transport with the first port of call being our very own City of Pattaya.

They have recently been given the go ahead by the Thai government to push forward with their plans, with Pattaya being the very first City to benefit.

A Pure-E bus, which will run solely on electricity will be introduced for both locals and tourists as a genuine means of transport in and around the City.

A head office will be introduced as well as several charging stations throughout the City, as they bid to tackle pollution in the area. There is, in fact, one station already on South Pattaya Road.

Underground electric cable are also high on the agenda for Pattaya Beach Road in a bid to give the area a cleaner, more pleasant feel, instead of the spaghetti junction of wires that we currently experience.

More info can be found on the PEA website, and a mobile application will hopefully be here in the very near future. Keep in touch for more details as we will be updating this story.
