Drunk Driver Causes Car Rollover on Petchtrakul Road

In the early hours of today, a Thai man, who was found to be intoxicated, crashed his car on Petchtrakul Road in Pattaya, leading to the vehicle overturning.

Upon receiving the emergency call, the Sawang Boriboon Thammasatan Rescue Unit rushed to the scene in the Na Kluea subdistrict of Banglamung district, Chon Buri province. They discovered a black Toyota Vios sedan with Bangkok license plates flipped on its roof.

The driver, identified as 48-year-old Suphot, fortunately sustained only minor injuries in the crash. Pattaya police, upon investigation, observed clear signs of his alcohol intoxication.

The incident also involved a parked car by the roadside, which belonged to 34-year-old Thanakorn Sunantha. Thanakorn was inside his vehicle eating when the sedan collided with the rear of his car, causing it to flip over.

Subsequently, Suphot was taken to Pattaya Police Station for a breathalyser test, as reported by the Pattaya News. Pending the test results, he is expected to face charges related to drunk driving and other associated offenses.
