A Songkhla woman phoned her husband early Wednesday, begging him to surrender to police and face drug-peddling charges alongside her.
He opted for the bachelor life.
Panida Pattano, 22, was arrested at her house in Hat Yai district after police found 3,089 methamphetamine pills and eight grams of crystal meth hidden in a garbage bin out front.
Police raided the house at 12.30am Wednesday after being tipped off that the couple were selling drugs in the neighbourhood.
Police say Panida admitted that she and her husband, Krissada Charoensri, 30, had been selling drugs for three years.
Panida called Krissada and he agreed to surrender, but after an hour passed and he failed to show up, she called again and found his number disconnected.
She broke down in tears, lamenting that he’d left her to suffer alone after seven years of marriage.
Panida allegedly said they bought the drugs from two dealers whose real names she did not know.
