Manchester United midfielder Bruno Fernandes has been involved in a car crash on the eve of his side’s Premier League fixture against Liverpool.
The Portugal international is not believed to have suffered any serious injury from the incident and is expected to take part in training with his United teammates later on Monday.
Fernandes was also in line to start for United’s trip to Anfield on Tuesday evening, although it has not been confirmed whether the midfielder will be included in the squad following the crash.
Pictures from the incident show significant damage to the passenger side of Fernandes’ left-hand drive Porsche.
Meanwhile, another vehicle involved in the incident had crashed into a small wooden fence in the front garden of a house.
Emergency crews attended the scene, while Fernandes was pictured speaking with a member of the fire service following the crash.
Fernandes has played a key role at United since his arrival from Sporting in a £47 million deal in 2020.
The midfielder has scored 49 goals and registered 39 assist in 120 appearances for United and has won the club’s Player of the Year award for the last two campaigns.
