Bangkok-bound passenger train runs over man lying on tracks

Blasts from a train horn failed to rouse a man apparently sleeping on the tracks in Pathum Thani Monday morning and he was run over and killed.

The incident occurred near Klong Neung Station in Klong Luang district at about 5.30am.

The man, who appeared to be between 35 and 40, was carrying no identification documents.

Wutthipong Phachongrungkit, 50, driver of the Ubon Ratchathani-Bangkok passenger train, saw a figure lying across the track as he approached and sounded the horn, but the man didn’t move.  Nation
