Bodies Found in Shipping Container

At 5 a.m. today, a rescue crew from the Ruamkatanyu Foundation was called to the site at the ICD warehouse area in the Lat Krabang Industrial Estate in the capital’s Lat Krabang district.
Two bodies in a stage of decay were discovered inside a shipping container. The ship was claimed to have left the Philippines on September 24th, 2023, and arrived in Laem Chabang, Chonburi, Thailand on September 28th, 2023.
The bodies belonged to a man and a woman who were both unidentified.

They were discovered without identifying documents, laying near the door of the empty container. According to a forensic investigation, the victims had presumably been dead for more than a week based on their state.

The bodies were transported to the Bangkok Police Hospital for post-mortem examination. As of press time, police are attempting to contact the vessel’s owner, and an investigation will be conducted.
