Bangkok bank being robs by gunman nets 200,000 Baht

Thanachart Bank’s Bang Khlo branch on Rama III Road in Bangkok was robbed on Wednesday morning by a lone gunman, who made off with Bt200,000 in cash.

Wat Phrayakrai police got the call at 9.17am.

They learned that the gunman, about 30 years old and wearing a black T-shirt and black trousers, had entered the bank carrying a bag and initially behaved like a customer.

He drew a gun on the teller and demanded cash. He left and was seen fleeing towards Rama IX Bridge. The whole incident took only about a minute.

Five employees and a cleaner were in the bank at the time.  Asia Nation
