According to the Pattaya Harbor Office, boat traffic has fully recovered since COVID-19.

The Pattaya News and other local media have been advised by the Pattaya Regional Harbor Office that boat travel to and from nearby islands for tourism has completely recovered after the Covid-19 outbreak as of this month. Boat traffic at the Bali Hai Pier is at 100% where it was before COVID-19, according to Mr. Ekaraj Kantharo, Director of the Pattaya Regional Harbor Office, driven by the return of Chinese visitors earlier this year and increased domestic Thai tourism.According to Ekaraj, the Harbor Office prioritizes visitor security and safety above all else, and the bulk of excursions depart from and go to Koh Larn Pier.

As domestic Thai tourism has increased significantly since the Covid-19 pandemic in Pattaya and was anticipated to continue to accelerate, Ekaraj predicted that the boat traffic in Pattaya Bay would continue to rise.

According to The Pattaya News, during the Covid-19 outbreak, borders were blocked to uninhibited outside travel. As a result, numerous government programs encouraged many domestic Thai visitors to go, and many of them made Pattaya their first choice. As a result, Pattaya has witnessed a sharp rise in the number of Thai tourists from Bangkok and the Eastern regions.
