Consumer protection police have raided a condominium apartment in downtown Bangkok where a hazardous anti-aging cosmetic serum was being produced.
On Tuesday, Division Commander Pol Maj Gen Withaya Sriprasertparp announced that investigators had finally identified and raided the source of the infNADi NAD+ Ageing Solution, a product found to be hazardous to health and distributed to numerous beauty clinics.
The raid took place on Monday at a sixth-floor condominium on Soi Sukhumvit 7, where authorities seized 47,506 containers of the serum, valued at approximately 25 million baht at retail prices.
Authorities had been searching for the source of this serum, which had been banned for injection use. Despite the ban, many beauty clinics continued to inject it as part of their anti-aging and antioxidant treatments offered to clients.
Pol Maj Gen Withaya revealed that the business producing the product was owned by an American citizen, with some ingredients being imported.
