A 27-year-old woman who was tragically stabbed to death at her home in Westminster has been identified. Kamonnan Thiamphanit, known to her friends as Angela, was discovered deceased in Stanhope Place near Hyde Park on Monday morning, prompting police to forcibly enter the property. As of now, no arrests have been made, and a post-mortem examination conducted on Wednesday revealed that the cause of death was sharp force trauma.
Detective Chief Inspector Adam Clifton stated, “My team is tirelessly working to piece together the events leading to Kamonnan’s murder. I extend my gratitude to local residents for their patience during our investigation at the scene. I urge anyone with information, regardless of how insignificant it may seem, to come forward and speak to us.” He emphasized the devastation felt by Kamonnan’s family and friends, stressing the importance of holding whoever is responsible accountable for their actions.
Prior to the incident, the victim’s friends had contacted officers on Sunday out of concern for her safety. A neighbor, Katerina, informed Sky News that she now feels uneasy following the fatal stabbing. Katerina recalled being in her flat when she noticed an unusually large crowd gathered outside the victim’s apartment. She even messaged her mother that night about the unusual noise in the area, indicating her unease. Despite police reassurances that it was an “isolated incident,” Katerina admitted to still feeling frightened.
