Two Thai males were caught immediately after they had stolen a sizable front gate from a Pattaya home. The incident happened at a residence in Chonburi’s Banglamung district’s Huay Yai subdistrict. On July 4th around 12 PM, two men rode into a village on a motorcycle and stole a sizable steel gate from a home. Their actions were caught on CCTV.
The bold robbers carried out their heinous act in full daylight. Before employing cutting tools to remove the padlock, they even got out a measuring tape to gauge the size of the steel gate. They then loaded the gate, which was close to 50 kg in weight, onto their motorcycle sidecar and took off. Mr. Sanchai Homchuen, the home’s owner, informed neighborhood media that shortly after the occurrence, he reported it to Huay Yai police.
Fortunately, the two offenders, identified as Mr. Kamolchai Sanoi, 30, and Mr. Pongpat Kerdpa, 28, were promptly captured by the police.
The perpetrators acknowledged selling the gate for just 380 baht as scrap metal. They claimed to be in need of the money due to their poverty.
The two males were accused by the police of stealing something and using a motorcycle to get away. At the time of publication, they were in police custody.
