Amid this pile, a Matthayom 6 student, Kenjira Khanongmat, is taking her online classes, unperturbed by the piles gathered in her house.
Kenjira goes through her life without any carping about her predicament.
Many schools, including Huai Thalaeng Witthayakhom School, have had to organise online classes due to Covid-19 spreading in provinces nationwide.
Kenjira was forced to study at her house, surrounded by garbage because her parents are garbage collectors. But she never blames her parents for her situation.
On the contrary, she is grateful for the livelihood their work provides.
She said that even she has been helping them collect garbage since she was 10 years old to give some relief to her parents. She said the money obtained from selling the garbage helps pay for her education.
She wants to study at the university level to qualify as a nurse or medical personnel.
Her sense of gratitude, and her intelligence — borne out by her grade point average of 3.84 — were recently recognised by the villagers in the area.
They are also encouraging her to achieve success. Kenjira is a teen focused on working towards fulfilling her dream
