This morning, May 30, in the early hours, a 15-year-old motorcyclist was tragically killed in an accident while returning home in the rain.
At 2:20 this morning, Pattaya Police received a complaint of the collision. When word spread that a young man had wrecked his motorbike on Sukhumvit Road in the Nongprue sub-district of Banglamung District, Chonburi province, the police and Sawang Boriboon rescuers sped there to assist the injured.
Authorities at the scene of the collision discovered a red Scoopy i motorcycle on the road with a shattered frontal piece. A young Thai man in his adolescent years was found face-down in a pool of blood not far from the vehicle. He had sustained significant head trauma, and Pattaya Police declared him dead there.
Police said that the adolescent was only 15 years old at the time. Considering his age, his name was withheld. To prepare for funeral services, his remains was brought to Banglamung Hospital.
The boy may have been riding his motorcycle at a high rate of speed when he slipped on a wet road, according to the police’s theory. Additionally, there was a light drizzle at the time of the collision. Because there were no witnesses to the collision, the police indicated they will continue to look into what caused it.
The Pattaya News reports that in Thailand, the legal age to operate a motor vehicle is 18, and the legal age to operate a motorcycle is 15.
