A 12th grader was killed in a hit and run accident on a Bangkok street while riding his motorcycle home at night on the first day of the new school year, police said.
The accident happened on Sukhumvit Road in front of Soi Sukhumvit 105.
Anucha Ketsiri, 18, a 12th grader at the Wat That Thong School, was killed in the accident. His head and helmet were apparently crushed apparently by a wheel.
Police said there were no witnesses to the accident. Police are checking footage from security cameras nearby in an attempt to identify the vehicle that hit the boy’s motorcycle.
