Ice skating’s never easy at the best of times – but it’s even harder if you’ve not gone it before.
Japanese teenager Madoka Takayama, 16, showed just how difficult it can be when she stepped onto the rink for the first time Yamaguchi province.
Hilarious footage shows her take a tumble, they try to get back up, only to slip again – leaving herself and friend Kyoka Tanaka, also 16, in fits of giggles.
Madoka finally lifted herself back up but lost control and fell against the side railing for support.
She said she wasn’t hurt after the ice skating fail and soon became used to being back on the ice.
Madoka said: ”I couldn’t stop laughing. It was difficult to get my balance but i got used to it.”
Friend Kyoka added: ”Madoka was brave to go straight onto the ice without doing it. It wasn’t as easy as she thought it would be.”
