Turkish Man Reports Theft After Valentine’s Day Encounter in Pattaya

PATTAYA – A Turkish man filed a police report after allegedly losing 25,000 baht following an encounter with a woman he met on Pattaya Beach on Valentine’s Day.

According to Pattaya City Police, the victim, identified only as Mr. Nevzat, reported the incident at 2:46 AM on Saturday , He recounted that he met a woman on Pattaya Beach, where they agreed on a price to “hang out” together before heading to a hotel.

Once inside the hotel room, Mr. Nevzat took a shower while the woman remained in the room. However, when he emerged, she was gone, and no agreed-upon activity had taken place. He attempted to contact her but was unsuccessful.

Upon checking his wallet, he discovered that 25,000 baht was missing and suspects the woman stole the money. Pattaya City Police are currently reviewing CCTV footage to identify the suspect and track her whereabouts.

While prostitution is illegal in Thailand, authorities note that a special law exists to penalize theft by night in such situations. Police are urging visitors to remain cautious when engaging with strangers in nightlife areas.
