‘Toon’ runs day 48th in Lampang, donations rise to Bt854 milllion

‘Toon’ runs day 48th in Lampang, donations rise to Bt854 milllion

Charity run hero Artiwara “Toon” Kongmalai was back out in the middle of the night to resume his run on Day 48 of his charity campaign in the northern province of Lampang.

He and his group started the first lap of the run at 3am on Monday from Mae Chiang Rai Witthaya School in Tambon Phrabat Wang Tuan in Mae Prik district.

“Toon” ran for 21 kilometres for the first lap to Tambon Mae Wa in Thoen district.

A large crowd of people waited alongside the Lampang-Tak road in the chilly weather to cheer the musician on and hand him their cash.

The group had reached Lampang at 4.10pm at the end of Day 47.

So far, the Bodyslam star has run for 37 days and covered 1,823km.

The donations for 11 major public hospitals have risen to Bt854.108 million by Monday morning.  Source: Asia Nation
