Thailand Post is taking orders for the famous Long Lablae durians from Uttaradit at a starting price of Bt4,600 per parcel of 8 kilograms.
Wibul Serichaipoirn, manager of customers service, said the state firm would pass on the orders to the Tambon Mae Pool Administrative Organisation in Uttaradit’s Lablae district.
Each parcel will be delivered directly to a buyer’s home in about three or four days following their order, Wibul said.
An 8kg parcel would have five or six durian, depending on their size. The starting price is Bt4,600 per parcel but could fluctuate slightly up or down depending on the market price.
Buyers can place orders at www.thailandpostmart.com or at post offices nationwide from now until August 31. Deliveries will start on June 1.
