Thai Police Officers Go Viral for Delivering Food to Drunk Man
Two officers from Mueang Suphan Buri Police Station in central Thailand have captured the hearts of Thai TikTok users after a video of their humorous and compassionate act went viral. The officers stepped in as impromptu food delivery riders, purchasing and delivering a meal for a drunk man.
The now-viral clip was shared on January 9 via TikTok by one of the officers, under the handle @phatara_2_66. The caption humorously read, “No driving while drunk, so ordering police to buy food.”
The video begins with the officers arriving on their motorcycle outside the man’s house. A lighthearted conversation ensues:
Police: “Wait, wait, what do you want me to do again?”
Drunk Man: “Buy me Tom Saap (spicy pork rib soup).”
Police: “Where is it?”
Drunk Man: “Just outside a temple there.”
Police: “You’re asking the police to buy Tom Saap? Where is the restaurant again? Outside that temple? For real?”
Drunk Man: “Yes, please.”
To the surprise of viewers, the officers agreed. The video concludes with the police delivering the requested soup to the man at his house. Grateful for their kindness, the man thanked the officers, wishing them career promotions and prosperous lives.
