A Thai man resorted to stabbing a Polish national with a sharp weapon following a fistfight during a road rage incident in Pattaya. The altercation occurred on Soi Boonsamphan in the Nongprue sub-district of Banglamung district, Chonburi province. Pattaya police received a report of the fight and promptly dispatched officers, along with rescue services from the Sawang Boriboon Rescue Center and reporters
At the scene, authorities discovered Mr. Dobrzynski Slawomir, 58, a Polish citizen, with a stab wound to his neck just below the left side of his jaw. The injury was severe and caused significant bleeding. Rescue workers administered initial first aid and swiftly transported him to the hospital. Police also recovered a bloodstained makeshift metal weapon with a plastic handle, which was collected as evidence. The suspect had fled the scene on a motorcycle before authorities arrived.
Eyewitness Mr. Akarachai, 16, reported to The Pattaya News that the incident began with a traffic dispute between Mr. Slawomir, who was driving a car, and the suspect, who was on a motorcycle. The argument escalated after one party cut off the other, leading to a physical altercation. Unable to match Mr. Slawomir’s strength, the suspect used the sharp object to stab him in the neck, prompting Mr. Slawomir to retreat and seek help.
Following the stabbing, a group of the suspect’s friends arrived with sticks, but the police’s timely arrival caused them to disperse. Pattaya police are actively searching for the suspect based on witness descriptions and recorded videos, but as of now, he remains at large.
