Thai Man Finds Missing Wife Dead in Suspected Murder-Suicide

A Thai man searching for his missing wife made a tragic discovery when he found her dead alongside her alleged lover inside a parked car in Chachoengsao province .

Mueang Chachoengsao Police responded to a call at approximately 9 a.m. regarding a suspicious white Isuzu MU-X SUV parked along Road Number 304. A concerned pedestrian had noticed a bullet hole in the left passenger seat window and alerted authorities.

Upon inspection, officers found the lifeless bodies of 33-year-old Chatchai Hongcharoen, a Plaeng Yao Sub-district Municipality Council member, and 26-year-old Natticha. Chatchai was in the driver’s seat with a fatal gunshot wound to his right temple, still holding a 9mm Sig Sauer handgun. Natticha, seated beside him, had suffered a similar fatal wound.

Natticha’s husband, Thitiwat, told police that she had left home in the SUV on the morning of February 16 and never returned. Unable to contact her, he grew worried. He also noted that she had been wearing gold jewelry when she left, initially fearing she may have been robbed.

Police suspect that Chatchai carried out a murder-suicide, with jealousy and an alleged affair believed to be the key motives. It is thought that the pair had met to discuss their relationship but were unable to resolve their differences.

Authorities are conducting further investigations to confirm the exact circumstances of the tragic event.
