PATTAYA, Thailand – A shocking incident unfolded on Jomtien Second Road, where a Thai man was caught on video chasing a foreigner with a knife, allegedly due to a fare dispute.
The confrontation, which occurred around 12:30 PM on February 21st, gained public attention after a video surfaced on the Facebook group “Bolt Drive Pattaya รวมคนขับพัทยา”. The footage showed a man wearing a full-face helmet pursuing a foreigner while wielding a knife in the middle of the road.
Eyewitnesses Recall the Chaotic Scene
At 2:30 PM, Pattaya News reporters visited the location near the entrance of a residential village. A 56-year-old security guard reported hearing a heated argument before seeing the two men running into the street. He suspected the dispute was over a transportation fare but was unaware of further details.
Meanwhile, Ms. Nam, a 30-year-old driver, captured part of the incident on her dashcam while driving toward Bang Saray. She recounted seeing the Thai man chasing the foreigner across the road. Concerned for safety, she honked her horn to alert others before driving away.
