Chonburi police detained a Thai man on Tuesday afternoon, August 15th, for reportedly beating his wife to death
Koh Chan police were able to identify Mr. Teeraphan Banchang, 30, as the suspect. He was arrested today in Chonburi’s Koh Chan area after the gruesome alleged murder of his wife, Mrs. Usamanee Nanual, 36.
Usamanee was discovered dead with significant head injuries on the ground in front of her home early this morning. According to authorities, bloodstains leading from her body to the kitchen were discovered on the floor, implying that she was pulled from the kitchen.
A white T-shirt covered the woman’s head, and her upper body was nude. A knife and a small, freshly dug-up pit were discovered nearby.
When the cops entered the kitchen, they discovered a bloodstained stone mortar. They believe the perpetrator used the mortar to sever the victim’s head, killing her.
A white Honda CR-V vehicle drove up to the residence while police were investigating. Mr. Teeraphan, the driver and the victim’s husband, stepped out of the car and was arrested.
Without outright confessing to the crime, Teeraphan reportedly confessed that his motivation was a family conflict. He said that the victim cheated on him with another man before declining to comment further.
Teeraphan has been charged with murder and is being held in detention. The probe is still going on.
