Thai bride dances through muddy field with bridesmaids after heavy rain

This is the amusing moment a wedding reception turned into a mud dancing fest after the area was battered with rain.

Bride Phonphimol Arsa, 35, tied the knot during the rainy season in Nakhon Ratchasima, northeastern Thailand, on October 18.

The area was still boggy from previous downpours but they decided to pitch the marquee and continue with the reception.

As rain battered the area, the bridesmaids refused to let the poor weather spoil the day and carried on dancing through the sludge.

Footage shows how their dresses were covered in brown mud. Even the bride’s white wedding dress was left filthy.

One bridesmaid was seen rocking with a marquee pole and the groom joined the group near the end.

Phonphimol said: ”The weather and the mud made the wedding even more memorable. It was fun. However, the bill to clean the dresses was high.”

Bridesmaid, Phatthanit, said: “This was our best friend’s big day, so there is nothing to regret. We can wash the dresses or throw them away.”

Thailand and other countries in Southeast Asia are at the peak of their annual rainy season which lasts each year from June to November and brings heavy rain and flash floods.
