Squatters removed from illegal shanty near the railroad

The Department of Social Welfare, the Department of the Environment, and the Municipal Office worked together on a coordinated operation on July 6 to demolish an unlawful shelter that was close to the railway road at Soi Khao Talo.

Residents in the region who could no longer bear the obnoxious noise and filthy waste strewn around the area were the ones who initiated the action. The tiny home at the location was discovered to be occupied by a couple. The authorities set up their relocation to their families after further investigation found the homeless couple had relatives.

The Department of Environment started the cleanup process by helping to pack the couple’s personal belongings for transportation and collecting the waste to speed up the cleanup procedure.
