Six British Nationals Arrested for Cannabis and Nitrous Oxide Possession

Phuket police have arrested six British nationals in a raid that uncovered six kilograms of cannabis buds and 39 tanks of nitrous oxide, commonly known as laughing gas. The operation took place on Thursday in Muang district.

Authorities reported that three kilograms of dried cannabis buds were found near the door of a bedroom, with an additional three kilograms inside the room. The room’s occupant admitted ownership of the cannabis but failed to provide a permit to sell it.

The raid also uncovered 39 small tanks of laughing gas in the house’s car park. All six suspects were detained.

The men, identified as Abdifatah Gulaid Abdi Ahmed, 31; Esah Muse Mohamed, 22; Ismail Mustafa Waleed Ahmed Taha, 20; Noah Ihiekwe Chidi Eze, 30; Darian Gledhill, 32; and Kieran Gregory, 26, were in Thailand on valid tourist visas allowing a 60-day stay for travel, business dealings, or short-term work.

Phuket police continue their investigation to determine if the suspects were involved in illegal business activities or drug distribution networks.
