Sedan Collides with Van and Tour Bus on Thappraya Road, Injuring Two

A serious traffic accident involving a sedan, a van, and a tour bus occurred on Thappraya Road in Pattaya on the morning of January 21st, leaving two people injured.

Emergency responders and The Pattaya News reporters arrived at the scene at 7:36 AM to find a grey bronze Honda Accord sedan severely damaged and wedged into the rear of a tour bus. Inside the sedan were the injured occupants, 33-year-old Mr. Suriyaphong and 31-year-old Ms. Thanyachon, both trapped in the vehicle.

Rescue teams utilized hydraulic cutting tools to free the pair before providing first aid and transporting them to a nearby hospital for further treatment.

In addition to the tour bus struck from behind, another tour bus was sideswiped by the sedan, sustaining side damage. A Toyota van also suffered minor damage during the incident.

Mr. Sunthorn, the 47-year-old van driver, recounted the accident, stating that he was en route to pick up tourists at Jomtien Beach when the sedan swerved into his vehicle. He narrowly avoided losing control and hitting the central divider, managing to steer his van safely to the roadside.

The sedan subsequently collided with the rear of the tour bus, causing significant damage and injuring its occupants. Mr. Sunthorn immediately contacted the authorities after the crash.

Pattaya police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the accident to determine its cause.
