Samui now a ‘deserted island’

Samui

A Twitter member yesterday (12 Sept 2020) released a video clip describing Samui Island as a “deserted place.”

“Walking along the streets, you can see that all shophouses are shut, with no tourists in sight. Even the malls are almost empty,” he wrote.

“I wonder if the same is true with Phuket, Krabi, Phang-nga, Patong, Chiangmai, Bang Saen and Pattaya.”

“We have dealt with Covid-19, but the local economy remains dire.

“For the first time in my life, Samui has become a deserted area.”
