Ready to Build a Port for Large Cruise Ships in Pattaya ?

Authorities in Thailand hosted a second seminar on the planned development of Pattaya as the nation’s first significant international yacht and cruise ship port.

The Bali Hai Pier, a suitable location that can accommodate substantial cruise ships, is where the port is intended to be situated.

Along with other supporting facilities and infrastructure, the port will also contain a passenger terminal.
The development of the port, according to Mr. Pisit, is a component of the Thai government’s strategy to increase cruise travel to the nation.

Thailand is in a good position to benefit from the current increase in cruise tourism in Southeast Asia, the expert continued.

With a capacity of up to 2 million passengers annually and the potential to generate thousands of employment, the port is anticipated to start building in 2026 and be finished in 2029.

According to Mr. Pisit, the government is committed to make Thailand a top destination for cruise tourism, and the port’s construction represents a significant investment in the country’s tourism sector.

TPN media points out that these current meetings are just the beginning of the planning process and that there will be a great deal more planning to do before any construction is even thought to start in 2026.

This includes conducting further meetings, environmental impact studies, license checks, surveying, and other tasks.
