Rayong Hospital Denies Claims It Won’t Pursue Legal Action Over Nurse Assault
RAYONG – The director of Rayong Hospital has denied online reports suggesting that the hospital will not take legal action against a man accused of slapping a nurse twice.
Dr. Pusit Subsompon confirmed that the hospital has already filed a police report, supported by CCTV footage and witness testimonies. “My hospital will not tolerate any violence and will ensure justice for the nurse. The nurse and other medical personnel have been deeply affected by this incident,” he stated.
The nurse, who sustained facial bruises, received medical treatment following the assault.
The incident occurred at around 8:30 a.m. on February 16, when a woman attempted to bring her child into the ICU to visit her mother. The nurse reportedly raised her voice to stop her, citing hygiene protocols. The woman then left and informed her husband, who allegedly returned and slapped the nurse twice.
Dr. Pusit emphasized that the attack has severely impacted staff morale, as the nurse was only doing her job. Authorities are investigating the case, and legal proceedings are underway.
