Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) is showing interest in signing Manchester United forward Jadon Sancho, with Juventus and Borussia Dortmund also keen on acquiring the England international. An unnamed Premier League club has expressed tentative interest in Sancho as well. While no formal offer has been made by PSG, the Ligue 1 giants are exploring the potential conditions for a deal.
Transfer Speculations and Valuations
Manchester United’s valuation of Sancho has proven to be a sticking point for interested clubs. Juventus and Borussia Dortmund, despite their interest, are unable to meet the financial demands set by United for the 23-year-old winger.
United’s Interest in Manuel Ugarte
In a potential swap of interests, Manchester United is eyeing PSG midfielder Manuel Ugarte. However, PSG is adamant about not selling Ugarte for less than €70 million (£58.9 million), as they aim to make a profit over the amount they paid for him last summer, which was reportedly around €60 million (£50.46 million).
Sancho’s Current Status
Sancho has rejoined training with Manchester United’s first team and is expected to participate in the club’s pre-season tour in the United States. Earlier this month, Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag held a constructive meeting with Sancho at the club’s Carrington training ground, focusing on preparing the player for the upcoming season. The meeting served as an opportunity for both parties to address previous issues and agree on moving forward together.
Despite not traveling with the squad to Norway for a friendly against Rosenberg on July 15 due to a delayed return to training, Sancho recently played 45 minutes in Manchester United’s 2-0 victory over Rangers. This match was an important step in regaining his match fitness and integrating fully back into the team.
