Police have launched an investigation in the incident but her death is not being treated as suspicious.
A joint Victoria Police and State Emergency Service (SES) operation will retrieve the woman’s body from the scene, The Advertiser reports.
A SES spokeswoman said: “Originally there was a plan in place for us to send a search and rescue team, but then we realised the significance of the incident.”
The spokesperson added the woman fell “at least” 80 metres.
The Victoria Police Air Wing helicopter was also on site with police leading the response to the tragic incident at the scene.
A report will be prepared for the coroner, police said.
