The Sawang Boriboon Thammasathan Rescue Center in Pattaya responded to a report of a stabbing involving a Russian tourist at a convenience store on Jomtien Second Road.
The victim, identified as 39-year-old Mr. Denis Rumiantsev, was found with a deep knife wound to his left leg and was bleeding heavily. Good Samaritans stayed by his side until rescue workers arrived to administer first aid and transport him to the hospital.
According to a convenience store employee, whose name has not been disclosed, the injured tourist initially entered the store to purchase wound care supplies. However, due to the severity of his injury, the staff contacted rescue services.
Through a translation app, authorities learned that the victim, reportedly intoxicated, had jokingly interacted with another group. The exchange escalated into violence when one individual stabbed him.
Pattaya police have gathered initial evidence and advised the victim to formally file a complaint. Investigators are now reviewing witness statements and CCTV footage to identify the attacker and determine the circumstances of the incident.
