A Phayao police senior sergeant major was found shot dead at his house on Tuesday morning. The death is being treated as a suicide.
Chiang Muan district police summoned at 8.30am found Kittipong Mungmool, 49, dead in his bed at home in Ban Klang, Tambon Chiang Muan, with a gunshot wound in the right temple and an 11mm pistol nearby.
Relatives said he had been depressed.
