Pattaya Woman attempts Suicide

The Sawaeng Boriboon Pattaya Rescue Center responded to a report of a suicide attempt involving pesticide ingestion in the Khao Phra Tamnak area of South Pattaya. Upon arrival at the scene, rescue volunteers and local police found 24-year-old “Biw” (a pseudonym) in significant distress. She was crying heavily, holding her stomach, and showing signs of severe nausea. It was discovered that she had ingested nearly an entire bottle of mothballs and pesticide in an apparent suicide attempt.

The rescue team acted swiftly, providing immediate first aid to stabilize her condition before transferring her to a nearby hospital for further medical treatment. Evidence at the scene included a bottle of water, packets of mothballs, and the pesticide container scattered on the ground, indicating the substances she had consumed.

Biw’s mother, “Bee” (a pseudonym), recounted the events leading up to the discovery. She mentioned that she had been unable to contact her daughter earlier in the evening, which caused concern. Biw’s brother eventually managed to reach her by phone. When she answered, she was crying uncontrollably and disclosed her location. The family rushed to find her and discovered her sitting alone in a dark area, clutching the pesticide bottle. Acting quickly, her brother intervened by knocking the bottle away from her and calling for help from authorities.

Bee further revealed that Biw had a history of emotional struggles and had previously attempted suicide and self-harm. The family had intervened in those instances as well, preventing any fatal outcomes. Bee expressed immense relief that her son’s timely actions and the rescue team’s rapid response once again saved Biw’s life.

The reasons behind Biw’s distress remain unclear, but her mother emphasized her ongoing concern for her daughter’s emotional well-being. The family plans to continue supporting Biw and ensuring she receives the help and care she needs to overcome her struggles.
