Pattaya showgirl has to sell meatballs for a living during covid-19 pandemic

Pattaya showgirl

A former cabaret showgirl at Mimosa Pattaya in Chonburi, central Thailand had to sell fried meatball for living during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Photos from April 11 show ladyboy Rattapol Surin, 31, selling fried meatball while dressing in her cabaret dress and wearing a crown.

Rattapol said she wearing the dress wanted to make a selling point and to remind her of her glory days.

She said: “I used to be a showgirl but it has changed after I had an accident that injured my leg so I was relegated to work as a make-up artist.

“My leg was in the recovery but before I could perform again the place had to temporarily shut down due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

“I needed money to pay for my debt but there was no work so I decided to sell the meatball and dressing like this is to strike the customers’ interest.”
