Pattaya Police Escort Intoxicated Woman with Valuables Home Safely, Issue Public Warning on Drinking
Pattaya, Thailand – Pattaya City Police are urging the public to drink responsibly after officers rescued a heavily intoxicated woman found unconscious in South Pattaya while carrying large amounts of cash and gold jewelry.
According to Pol. Lt. Col. Suchart Dusadee, Inspector of Pattaya City Police Station, a concerned citizen alerted authorities about a well-dressed woman who appeared passed out and unresponsive at a restaurant table near a hotel. Fearing for her safety, officers rushed to the scene.
Found Unconscious with Valuables
Police discovered the woman, estimated to be between 30 and 35 years old, wearing revealing clothing and completely unresponsive despite the efforts of bystanders. Officers noted she was in possession of significant valuables, including a large amount of cash and gold jewelry. For documentation and security, officers recorded video evidence before gently reviving her using cold water and a towel.
Although she regained consciousness, the woman remained incoherent and visibly intoxicated.
Officers Help Locate Her Residence
Attempts to determine the woman’s place of residence were initially unsuccessful, as she was unable to provide coherent answers. Officers eventually contacted a relative who gave directions to her lodging. However, upon arrival, she did not recognize the location.
Demonstrating patience and care, police went door-to-door in the area asking residents for assistance until they successfully located the woman’s family. She was safely returned to her room, and her valuables were handed over to a relative for safekeeping.
Police Issue Public Reminder
Pol. Lt. Col. Suchart took the opportunity to remind both locals and tourists of the risks of excessive alcohol consumption.
The incident highlights the importance of responsible drinking, especially in tourist-heavy areas like Pattaya, where individuals carrying valuables can become easy targets if not careful.
