Pattaya Police apprehended an 18-year-old man named Somchai for selling illegally modified guns online during a late-night investigation. Suspicious Facebook activity connected to the illegal arms trade served as the impetus for the police investigation. At an unidentified residence in South Pattaya, the arrest took place.
Somchai was approached by undercover police, and they came to an agreement to pay 23,000 Baht for a gun. Undercover police detained Somchai when he arrived to deliver the guns at the predetermined place. The operation also led to the discovery of a modified rifle and the seizure of a mobile phone used for the unlawful transaction. Somchai admitted to purchasing the gun online with the intention of reselling it for a profit while using it for self-defense.
