Pattaya City Sign Gets a Major Lighting Upgrade, Set for Completion by February 27, 2025
PATTAYA, THAILAND – The iconic Pattaya City sign, a well-known landmark perched atop Pratumnak Hill, is undergoing a major facelift with a brand-new lighting system set to be completed by February 27, 2025.
A Fresh Look for a Pattaya Symbol
Deputy Mayor of Pattaya, Mr. Manoch Nongyai, recently inspected the progress of the lighting improvement project and personally tested the new lighting system. During his visit, the project’s contractor provided a detailed briefing and a live demonstration of the enhanced illumination effects.
Mr. Manoch emphasized that the Pattaya City sign has been a symbol of Pattaya for over two decades, but years of exposure to the elements have caused wear and tear. To preserve the city’s vibrant image as a world-class tourist destination, the municipality decided to revamp the landmark’s lighting.
The project officially began on October 1, 2024, and 90% of the work is already complete. The final phase involves installing LED lights on the Pattaya City letters, ensuring a brighter and more visually appealing sign for visitors.
Exciting Features for Tourists & Nighttime Spectacles
Once completed, the upgraded sign will offer:
🎆 New decorative lights with changing color patterns.
📸 Ground patterns for photography, making it a must-visit spot for tourists.
✨ Daily lighting displays from 7:00 PM – 10:00 PM.
🌈 Special holiday light shows, featuring vibrant, alternating colors throughout the night.
🔵 “Color of the Day” displays when no special light shows are scheduled.
Pattaya City hopes this revamp will boost tourism, encourage more nighttime visits to Pratumnak Hill, and solidify its status as a top travel destination.
Mark your calendars for February 27, 2025, when the fully illuminated Pattaya City sign will shine in its new and improved glory!
