Noodle Shop in Crash Takeaway

The plague of pickup trucks running into noodle shops continues in the north with another case in Chom Thong early this morning, April 22.

The accident happened near the Sri Chom Thong School on Chom Thong-Hod Road in Ban Luang at around 12.30 a.m.

According to reports the owner of the shop had not long gone to bed when he was awoken by a loud bang. Further investigation found a silver pickup truck, registration Chiang Mai ผพ 7273 had come through the front of his shop.

The driver of the pickup truck, who was not named, subsequently confessed to falling asleep behind the wheel.

Unlike the shop, the driver only suffered minor injuries.

Police are said to be investigating and have asked the driver to pay compensation for the damage.
