Nonthaburi restaurant owner found dead in Chao Phraya after disturbing calls

The body of a male senior was found floating on the Chao Phraya River in Nonthaburi’s Pak Kret district on Thursday morning.

 

The body of Manop Worasavettanon, 67, was spotted in the river at 8.30am.

Manop’s friend, Panya Eknawajit, told police that he had owned the Krua Rim Nam restaurant in Pak Kret.

Panya said Manop sent a LINE message to his children ago to say goodbye three days ago, saying he was leaving and the children would find out why three days later.

When Manop called a son to say goodbye, the phone line suddenly went dead and the son was unable to re-establish a connection.
