A 10-vehicle smash-up in Nonthaburi caused a traffic jam stretching for several kilometres all the way to the Sombat Buri Market entrance after the pile-up blocked all inbound lanes on Kanjanapisek Road in Bang Yai district near the exit of Central West Gate department store yesterday (Sunday) afternoon.
There were no reports of any deaths or injuries.
The accident happened when a car rear-ended a pick-up truck that was carrying motorcycles, causing eight other vehicles that were behind to crash into one another.
Traffic police were dispatched to help divert traffic in the blocked lanes to a bypass road.
