More Purple Pee

At around 17:30 on the evening of December 13th, officers from the 21st Guards Regiment of the Thai Army were involved in a sting operation at a small housing community aimed at tackling the increasing drug problem in Pattaya.

The operation has been set up and intends to focus on stopping the supply coming into what they now call, “The Red Zone”, which in simple terms means the main tourist areas, instead of targeting the drug users.

Of the people searched, drugs were found and 10 people tested positive for drug use with “purple pee”.

This is the 5th time they have targeted this particular area and reports coming from the authorities is that the drug problem is, in fact, decreasing.
